Opportunity Access is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to providing technology training to underserved communities. Our Costa Rica regional office is located in Cahuita, along the southern Caribbean coast of Costa Rica.

Opportunity Access is currently seeking interns interested in helping out with the project. The volunteer positions are designed for a 3-month period. Short term or extended terms will be addressed on an individual basis. Please email me, at ctmoore16@yahoo.com if interested.

Volunteer Position 1:

Communications Coordinator:

Responsibilities include managing all the communication requirements of an international non-profit organization. Tasks are as follows:

·        Editing a quarterly newsletter, updating a web site (training available) Database management with excel or Access (training available), and more.

·        Responding to Emails, phone calls, letters and faxes in a timely and professional manner.

Spanish is a plus but not required. Must be able to live and work in small communities in Costa Rica. Position requires professional communication skills both written and oral.

Volunteer Position 2:

Computer Technical assistant:

Responsibilities include personal computer repair and, maintaining small LAN’s using Microsoft NT. Must have experience working with both software and hardware.

Desired skills:

Word processing skills (word, excel, ect.) working knowledge of Email and general communications skills required. Spanish is a plus but not required. Must be able to live, travel and work in small communities in Costa Rica.

Note:   Ninety percent of the work will be for area schools.
