digital divide corporation. Donations are accepted

on-line.

In September 2000, Opportunity Access Inc. renovated an abandoned motel in Cahuita, Costa Rica and converted it into the Cahuita Computer Center. Open 7-days a week, we provide computer and technology training for all ages.

This technology training center contains a classroom with 22 networked computers, all with Internet/Intranet access, multimedia capabilities, shared printers, digital cameras, and scanners.

The computer repair laboratory is used to maintain computers for 50 regional schools and to train our repair students. The repair lab contains 8 student  work stations including diagnostic tools.

The practice lab contains our server, books, and 11 additional computers for students to practice on while classes are in session.

The final room has capacity to store 150 computers while they are refurbished, loaded with educational software, and installed into low-income public schools. Opportunity Access Inc. has installed computer labs into 50 public schools to help 50 communities improve their education and their futures.

The Cahuita Computer Center is staffed by locally certified teachers and technicians.

We help poor children get the education they need.
